Waves Of Bombers Set Fire To Factories. NAZI AGENCY'S ACCOUNT. (Reed. 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 24. Reports from neutral sources indicate that British bombers arrived over Berlin in waves and apparently set fire to at least two warehouses or factories. Anti-aircraft fragments peppered Berlin throughout the raid. The authorities stated- that mostly incendiary bombs were dropped, fires being extinguished immediately. The German news agency announced that several British 'planes last night flew over the northern and eastern suburbs of Berlin, dropping bombs and deliberately attacking residential quarters. Dwellings were .damaged, and several civilians were killed and injured. No military damage was done. A Berlin communique says: "Our bombers carried out a nocturnal attack on London and strong fires were observed near Millwall and the India docks; also near Whitehall, Hyde Park, and elsewhere. Large fires were started in Liverpool. We bombed Cambridge as a reprisal for the bombing of Hesselberg. "British planes last night caused damage on the outskirts of Berlin, several Chilians being killed and injured. There was no military damage. The enemy yesterday lost 25 planes. Six of ours are -missing."
