APPEALS UPHELD.
ACTION BY JOCKEYS. CONDITIONAL LICENSES. TWO OTHERS DISMISSED. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The results of the appeals by five jockeys against the decision of the executive committee of the New Zealand Racing Conference in granting them for the 1940-41 racing season "three months' conditional jockeys' licensee, to expire on October 31, 1940, wae announced to-night. The appeals of I'ercy Burgess, Arthur Ei-nest Didham and George Ronald Tattersall were upheld and the executive committee ie to be directed to issue to them jockeys' licensed 10 expire on July 31, 1941. The appeals of William James Broughton and Harold Xonnan .Wiggins were dismissed, and the judges have ordered that in each case £10, the amount lodged in the appeal, be retained by the Conference. — U'rese Assn.)
