WHEN BLOMFIELD AND KATAN MEET AGAIN.
No match seen in Auckland has eclipsed In excitement that in which John Katan defeated Lofty Blomneld early this month, and thereby gained the British Empire championship tor the second time this season. In a sensational match at Dunedin last night McCready again robbed Katan of that title—but when Blomneld faces Katan again at the Town Hall next Monday night there should be as great interest in the result as If the championship were still at stake. The rivalry between these two wrestlers has grown steadily ever since Katan opened his season here with a win over Blomneld. These two, with McCready, proved outstanding In a team which whs one of the strongest seen In this country. Each of them has won over the other two, each has lost to the others. So, in the later stages at the season has developed a duel for the British Empire crown which is not yet finally settled. None of them has yet demonstrated a definite superiority over the others, and successive matches has shown a growing interest on the part of the public and a fiercer rivalry among these three stars of the mat. The personal element In the contest between Katan and Blomfleld was very evident In their last match, and :the happenings on that occasion will not have softened the feeling they then showed. There is every indication that the meeting between Blomneld and Katan at the Town Hall on Monday will be one of the liveliest and must rugged contests yet seen here.
