EGYPT'S ATTITUDE SATISFIES BRITAIN.

The war in the Western Desert of Egypt is likely to continue for a week or two as guerilla harrying , of the Italians. It is authoritatively stated that Britain is satisfied with. Egypt's attitude, and is confident that she will take all steps which the developing situation requires. Hassan Sabry, Prime Minister of Egypt, replying to the Saadist pro-war Cabinet members* resignations, said: "Your fears that the Italians intend to conquer Egypt are exaggerated. Cabinet is opposed to throwing the country immediately into the furnace of war without evident interest or necessity. Our defence preparations are constantly accelerating."
A message from Cairo states that martial law hae beeii declared throughout Egypt.
A naval communique issued in Cairo says: "Xaval forces attacked enemypositions in the Sidi Barrani area during the early hours of yesterday, with good results."
