SCRAP METAL APPEAL.

The fact that 100 depots had been opened for the collection of non-ferrous metal scrap in the Auckland Metropolitan area was reported to the Auckland Provincial Patriotic Council last night by Mr. N. B. Spencer, chairman of the sub-committee in charge of the appeal. Mr. Spencer said that good progress had been made with the collection, and although people had only juet begun to contribute,, a large quantity of metal was already in hand.
