BURROWS.—On September 23, 1940. at his residence, 22, Great North Road New Lynn Alfred, dearly loved husband of Elizabeth, and loved father of Alfred, William. George. Albert, Frank, Teanie; aged 77 years. Passed peacefully away. Funeral will leave the above address to-morrow (Wednesday) at 2.30 p m for Walkumete Cemetery. DUDER.—On September 23, 1940. Edith Marianne beloved wife of the late Captain Albert Duder, of Devonport. Auckland, in her eightieth year. Funeral will leave her son's residence. 94. Jervois Road, Heme Bay and loving brother of A. E. Morris, Pukekohe, and late of 11,' Selwyn Road, Epsom, late employee Post and Telegraph Department. A service will be held at the Baptist Tabernacle, Queen Street, to-morrow (Wednesday) at 130 p.m., funeral then leaving for Hillsboro' Cemetery. READE.—On September 23, at the Auckland Hospital, after a short Illness. Edward B dearly loved brother of Mrs. F. R. Maiden, 1, Witheford Lane, Newton; aged 66 years. Funeral will leave N. c. Davis' Chapel, 294, Dominion Road, at 10 a.m. to-morrow (Wednesday) for Waikumete Crematorium. WARD. —On Sunday, September 22, 1940, at 41, Victoria Street, Onenunga, Evelyn Florence, dearly beloved wife of the late James Ward. Interred this day at Waikumete.
