CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL.
COMMITTEE TO REPORT. In accordance with notice of motion, Mr. J. Sayegh moved that, in view of the growth of the city, the Hospital Board should consider erecting, as a separate unit, a children's hospital, and that a committee, consisting of the chairman, Mr. Allan J. Moody, the chairman of the Finance Committee, Mr. J. V. Macky, and the mover, should be authorised to collect the necessary data and submit it to the board. Mr. G. T. Parvin said the- board already had big building commitments, although the time would arrive when they would have to make more provision for children.
Mr. E. H. Potter recalled that seventeen years ago a campaign was launched for a children"*! hospital, and there was both medical and lay opposition. However, a separate unit for children vrae erected. It was a building that could be extended. In supporting the motion, the chairman, Mr. Allan J. Moody, said that the president of the 8.M.A., Sir Carrick Robertson, considered that the proposal was an excellent idea. ' The motion was carried.
