Records are always an attraction, but probably very few ouUside the Remueva Olub would realise that one game mentioned in the "Sports Edition" on Saturday, for the Finlayeon Badges, constituted a record for this popular challenge competition. It was the thirteenth win in succession against the previous record of eeven -wins. These are now to the credit of C. O. Mahony, the club president, A. R. Thompson, recently from Ohristc-hurch, M. D. White, the club champion of two years ago, and Raymond' Sheath, club champion of four years ago, and runnerup in the champion of champions.

This Is a winter competition, with a good list of challengers for the trophies given by the late Mr Thomas Flnlayson, who was club president in 1899 and again in 1911. With fine weather, there will be two more Saturdays for challengers to try their luck. . The inter-dub challenge matches received the usual eager attention, the feature of the day being the large margin of points. This was specially notable In the Edwin Stars, the Mt.
