LEAGUE TABLE.
SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. NORTH SHORE IS THE RUNNER-UP. When Mount Albert beat Richmond 25—21 a fortnight ago' a complication was caused In the Auckland Rugby League's senior championship. The victory put Mount Albert on the same mark as North Shore, with 20 competition points. Richmond having already won the championship with 25. Shore had, however, played one game less, and this remaining game was decided at Devonport on Saturday, when Newton was vanquished 33 —15. The necessity lor getting the game off was to find Richmond's opponent In the champlonof champions match on October 15, In the event of Richmond winning the Roope Rooster as well as the championship. The regulations provide that in case of a club carrying off that double its opponent In the champion-of-champlons engage- t ment must be the runner-up In the senior championship. Had Newton beaten Shore on Saturday, and still left .the latter club level with ! Mount Albert, the position would have been •■ awkward. I Final placlngs In the championship:— .
