Mortgage discharges during July were also heavy, the number of 2683 being higher than in any other month since May. 1930. and the value. £1.924.572. being the highest monthly figure since July. 1937. Land transfer transactions were particularly buoyant in July, the total of 2941 being the highest since June. 1939. and the value of £3.565.539 being the highest monthly figure since July, 1925.
