PERSONAL.
The Hon. D. G. McMillan arrived on the Limited express from Wellington thie morning. Mr. H. C. McCoy wae a passenger on the Main Trunk express from Wellington thie morning. The Hon. E. Dye, M.L.C., will be a passenger on the Limited express for Wellington Co-night. Mr. S. G. Sergeant, chief inspector of signals of the New Zealand Railways, will 'be a passenger on the Limited express for Wellington to-night. Mr. A. D. Campbell, assistant accountant of the Auckland Gas Company, Ltd., has been appointed by the directors as accountant of the company. Captain F. W. Moore, late of the Department of Health, has been appointed staff officer and quartermaster to the DirectorGeneral of Medical Services at Army Headquarters. Mr. R. A. Rew was appointed chairman and Mr. E. Aldiidge vice-chairman of the board of managers of the Seddon Memorial Technical College at a meeting of tihe board yesterday. Lieutenant-Colonel A. Cowles, president of the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association, has been appointed secretary and organiser of the Wellington Home Guard Committee. Major E. H. Whiting has been attached to Army Headquarters, Wellington, for duty as publicity officer, and has ceased to be seconded to the central military district headquarters for similar duty.
