Keenness has marked the Auckland Rugby League's Roope Rooster competition, which will be carried a further etage with the second series of ma tehee to-morrow afternoon at Carlaw Park. Richmond, the champion team of the season. will play Papakura In the early match on the No. 1 ground, in view of Unproved form of the ■atter team, a good match Is likely. Two Phelan Shield matches will be played on the No. 2 ground. Early. Manukau will meet Marlst, and the following fame will be between City and Otahuhu. The North Shore and Newton teams will play at Devonport. a match which m:-.y decide the position of runner-up to Richmond in the senior competition. If North Shore defeats Newton the former team will be the runner-up, but in the event of defeat North Shore and Mount Albert will be level for the position.
