SOLDIER KILLED.
CASUALTY IN EGYPT.
PRIVATE OSBORN, AUCKLAND.
Advice has been received by Mr. and Mra. E. Oeborn, of Astley Avenue, New Lynn, that their eon, Private G. B. Oaborn, who left the Dominion as a member of the First Echelon, has been killed by a bomb in Egypt.
Private Oenorn, who was aged 32 years, was eingl«, and enlisted as soon aa war broke out. Ho came to New
Zealand at the age of Iβ years from England, and worked at various pursuits, including farming, at Waiharara, north of Kaitaia, where he wae well known. Until he enlisted he. had been working in the Putaruru district for two yea re.
He ie survived by his parents, a brother in London, and two eistere, Mre. A. L. Mcßride, 4, Kitchener Road, Saiulringham, and Mrs. T. N. Wagener, of Waiharara.
