The question of providing trophies for winners of the respective senior and junior grade cfhampionslupe was again discussed at lastf night'e -meeting of the Auckland Rugby League, when the secretary, Mr. I Ivan Culpan, reported that material for cape was not available. More suitable recognition in the form of photographs was suggested, and it wae decided to ask the advice of the Senior Clubs' Officers' Association on the matter. When arrangements in connection with the playing of the second series of matches in the Roope Rooster competition were being considered it was decided to play one game at Oevonport, between Horth Shore and Newton. . ' As the principal game at Carlaw 'Park -last Saturday was late In starting It was decided to seek the co -operation ol the clubs tor a more prompt kick-off. The principal game must comm The e SL*-zL££i League advised that it would be pleased to donate £5 toward the cost of the %Mj efthe schoolboys , team to New Plymouth. The letter also stated that this should not be considered as a precedent, as the policy regarding school teams travelUng had not yet been decided. A deputation from the newly-formed Old Flayers , Association tor a match at Carlaw Park against South Auckland was deferred until after Saturday, when a definite date would be agreed to.
