BUSINESS VERY QUIET. HIGH OFFERS FOR CEMENTS. Business was nearly at a standstill at the Auckland Stock Exchange; first call to-day and the tone o£ the bidding was dull. Vahus were, however, generally steady. Among Auckland industrials buyers came in at 12/ for Radio, Ltd.'s, attracting a eeller at 12/6. Woolworths (Sydney) were strong between 18/3 and 18/8. Insurances bhowed an easier tone. Broken Hill Proprietaries had buyers up to £2 6/1 at noon and buyers advanced for Wilsons Cements to 19. 9. for New Zealand .Refrigerating to £1 0/:J, for Macduff*. ordinary to 9/6, and for Emperors and Mount Morgans.
