WHITTOME, STEVENSON, LTD. DIVIDEND OF 6 PER CENT. Whltlome, Stevenson and Company, Limited, report a net profit of £3895 for the year ended June 30, compared with £3078 in 1939 and £2839 in 1938. Dividend has been reduced from 6',a per cent to 6 per cent. The payment is free of social security and national security taxes. A sum of £ 1930 has been provided for taxes, against £978 In the previous year. The dividend absorbs £1845, leaving £1090 to be carried forward, against £971 brought in. The report states that the year's trading showed an increase In sales. Generally speaking stocks are ample for the requirements of the year ahead. Paid capital at £30.750 and reserves, £3000. are unchanged. Taxation reserve has been raised from £973 to £1850. Bank overdraft Is £1107, against £701 a year ago. Total assets are £1860 higher at £43,273. Stocks have Increased by £3122 to £16.810. The company's annual meeting will be held on September 25.
