ANIMAL PROTECTION.

Efforts arc being made by the Animal Protection Society (Auckland) to follow the action taken by the N.A.R.P. (National Air Raid Precautions for Animals Committee), England, who are c.ideavouring to register every cat, horse and dog in the country and prothem with identification discs with a view to caring for them during and after air raids. Pet owners may register their animals with the society, who will give advice concerning their welfare and will look after their interests ■should their owners be no longer i able to care for them.
