Watt, Director-General of Health, will arrive at Auckland by air this afternoon. Mr. F. R. Picot, Director of Internal Marketing, arrived from the South by train this morning. Mr. James Fletcher and Mr. J. C. Fletcher will be passengers for Wellington by train to-night. - Dr. R. A. Shore, director of the hospitals division of the Health Department, is a visitor to Auckland. Mr. J. Sawyers, assistant-general manager of Railways, will return to Wellingt< / the Limited express to-night. # The Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates and Mr. | P. K. Paikea, M.P.'s, will leave for Wellington by the Limited express to-night. Messrs. N. R. Chapman and K. L. Usmar have returned from Wellington, where they attended a conference of patriotic councils. Mr. R. Knighte, acting-stationmaster at Taumarunui, has been appointed stationmaster at Taihape in succession to Mr. J. D. C. Davis, who retires at the end of this month. Mr. Warwick E. C. Gregory, local director and manager for New Zealand of the Port Line for a number of years, has been elected a member of the London board of directors. The Rev. Howard E. Harkness, formerly supplying minister at the Dominion Road Methodist Church, has arrived at Trentham Mobilisation Camp for ««rvice with the X-M.C.A.
