OBITUARY.

CAPTAIN FREDERICK SAVAGE. The death occurred yesterday of Captain Frederick Savage, of Lillington Road, Remuera. He was master of the coastal steamer Herekino, which was engaged in the cement-carrying trade. Captain Savage was the son of the late Mr. Edward Savage, and was born in Oamaru 00 years ago. He had lived for many years in Auckland, and was well-known in the coastal trade, in which he had commanded a number of vessels. He leaves a wife and a family of four children. MR. M. A. dOSTAR. Well known in Manurewa and Karaka farming ciwl"s, Mr. Matoaka Atlantic Costar has died, aged 70. Mr. Costar was l>olll in the shi]* Matoaka Atlantic, in which his parents came to the Dominion from England in 1865. He took up farming at Manurewa nearly 40 years ago and more recently farmed at Karaka. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. Two sons were killed in the Great War. MRS. HARRIETT MULINDER. HASTINGS, this day. The death has occurred at Otane of Mrs. Harriett Maria Mulinder, aged 99. Mrs. Mulinder left Kngland in 1859 and, after arriving in Wellington, came to Hawke's Bay. In her early twenties she married Mr. Windsor in Napier, and then went with her husband to Waipawa. Nine years later her husband died. After marrying Mr. George Mulinder, Mrs. Mulinder made her home at Patangata. Her second husband died 40 years ago, and she had since resided most of the time at Otane. She is survived by six of a family of ten.
