MONEY POURING IN FOR BOMB VICTIMS British Official Wireless. A (Reed. 2 p.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 13 N immediate response has been received to the Lord Mayor's appeal to relieve the distress caused by the bombing of London. The Bank of England has given £10,000, and the American Ambassador, and each °| five great banks, also Imperial Chemical Industries, l- e ver Bros., and Unilever, Ltd., each £5000, a total of £55,000. The Lord Mayor of Brisbane has sent a cable expressing the horror of the people of Queensland, who • have opened a fund with £10,000 from the Queensland Patriotic Fund. The Central British. War Fund of Shanghai, has cabled £25,000.
