NEW MANAGER.
INSURANCE POST. SOUTH BRITISH COMPANY. The directors of the South British Insurance Company, Ltd., have appointed Mr. William Edward Bu*h to succeed Mr. J. J. Kingston as manager of the Auckland branch of the company. Mr. Kingston will retire on September 30, and Mr. Bush, who has been chief clerk in the "branch office for the past 24 years, will take up liis new duties on October 1. Mr. Bush was born in England, and came to New Zealand as a boy. He was educated in Auckland, and later entered the service of the Ocean Accident and Guarantee Corporation. After being with the company for over ten years Mr. Bush, who had specialised in accident ■insurance. received an appointment in 1913 with the South British Company. He was made chief clerk in 1910. In his earlier days he was prominent in athletic circles in Auckland, having represented Auckland at both cricket and Rugby football. Tn more recent years he has been a member of the Titirangi Golf Club.
