CHINA STATION.

BRITISH COMMAND CHANGE. (Reed. 11 a.m.) LONDON", Sept. 12. It is officially announced in Singapore that Vice-Admiral Sir Geoffrey Layton has taken over as Commander-in-Chief of the China Station, relieving Admiral Sir Percy Noble. Sir Geoffrey Layton since 1939, has been Vice-Admiral commanding the Ist Battle Squadron, and Second-in-Com-niand of the Mediterranean Fleet. Sir Percy Noble has been in command of the China Station since 1938.
