CALL TO WOMEN.

WAR SERVICE AUXILIARY PRELIMINARY SURVEY. The Women's War Service Auxiliary lias entered on a survey of the situation regarding women's \r;:r activities and has sent a questionnaire to the 'various organisations of women seeking information regarding their activities', this survey is a necessary preliminary to the work of the committee, which is to co-ordinate the efforts of the women throughout the community, and to organise further activities and develop systems of training. Obviously it is necessary for the auxiliary to know what is now being done and what kinds of work the various organisations are undertaking, or are willing to undertake. The local committee of the W.W.S.A. is most anxious to press forward with this work, as it is receiving many applications from women and girls who are keenly desirous of making their services available in connection with the war effort. Organisations are earnestly invited to reply to the committee's questionnaire at the earliest possible moment, and any organisation which is doing war w o.i k and has not received a questionnaire from the committee is cordially invited and urged to get in touch with the local office of the W.W.S.A. at once and make a start in co-operating in the war effort by giving the committee the information it so urgently requires. The auxiliary is also desirous of pressing on with the compilation of the register of women war workers, and makes a strong appeal to all women and girls to register at once. All women and girls (whether members of organisations or not) are heartily welcomed at the auxiliary rooms, Wright's Buildmgs, Fort Street, where registration may be effected. Inquiries may be made ca "' letter, or telephoning 41-6b4 during office hours.
