IN RAIDED LONDON. ALIEN DOCTORS' SERVICES. ________ i LONDON, August li. More thau 100 alien doctofv-Ger-mans, Austrian*. Czechs, Poles—may of them former university profeawn and specialists in the countries from which they have fled, sat this week for the London County Council examination l in advanced first aid. When they have pawed they will be given a certificate of proficiency. Heir services may be used at first aid posti in London in an emergency, if negotiations now proceeding , with the Ministijof Health are concluded. For the past few week* ISO mea of these doctors have been undergoing a refresher course. But about 50 wh» started the course hare been interned, and were unable to sit for the »«■■!-■ tion. There are now about 800 transmigrant doctors in Britain. Many hare beta interned; the others are being allowed to stay as category "C" aliens tmtil they can arrange further migration. Their welfare is being watched by Ht World Union O.S.E. (Organisatio Saaitaria Ebraica). Dr. M. Schwartxraan, vke-presidtat of the World Union 0.5. E., who cane to England 20 years ago from Russia, ami is a naturalised subject, said this week: "All those who are sitting for tie examination are qualified docton ■it their own countries.
