LABOURERS' UNION.
WHANGAREI, thie day. Owing to a technical breach in connection with the compilation of the rules of the Auckland General Labourers' Union, revision hae .been necessary. Thi* WM explained to a meeting, of the Whangarei branch of the union. In the revision, alterations are aVso being made to the rule*, including provision for a postal ballot for the election of officers. The country branches will now have direct representation on the Auckland executive, the Whangarei branch now i being entitled to one delegate. Nominations for branch .officers and executive members do not have to be approved by the Auckland executive and are open to all financial members. I Tb* Whangarei branch is being recon- , etituted to embrace the whole of NorthIland. The election* for positions will tain place within the next few weeks. Nominations are now being called and will close on October 4.
