HOCKEY AFFAIRS.
ORDERED-OFF PLATER EXONERATED. At the fortnightly meeting of the Auckland Hockey Association the executive committee inquired into the ordering off of L. Monteith (United, championship leader) on Saturday laet in the match againet Grammar Old Boys, and the case was dismissed. The Papatoetoe Club was declared the winner of the second grade championship. Messrs. T. Clark. C. Preston and R. Watts were appointed selectors for the Rest of Auckland team. Mr. A. Jackson was appointed the Auckland umpire for the Walkato v. Auckland game to be played at Hamilton on Saturday next. The manager of the Auckland Junior representative team which visited Waluku reported that the XI. had suffered defeat by Franklin by 4 goals to 1. It was decided to stage a return game at Hobson Park on Saturday week. Women on the Field. Fixtures for Saturday:—Senior: Training College v. Kiwi. Melville Park No. 4. 1.45 p.m.: University Blue v. University White. Melville Park No. 3. 1.45 P.m.; Mount Eden v. Technical. Melville Park No. 1, 3.10 p.m. Special game: Wesley seniors v. Rodney. Melville Park No. 2. 1.45 p.m.
