Among those to please were Sebrof, Declaim, Moneyep inner, Phalerton, Royal Message, Odtnn, Llandaff, Rex, Maitland and- Brazilian. Sebrof (Thomson) put up a smart effort, beating Golden Bonnet (Mauson) and Acre's Beauty (Poad) over three furlongs in 36 3-ss. Sebrof finished exceptionally well. The two-year-old Declaim (Messervy) impressed more than Transmitter (Wiggins) over a similar distance in 37 4-ss. Both these two-year-olds are well forward. Moneyspinner (Wiggins) reeled off half a mile in 49.4-Js. He was assisted by Landveyor (Poad), the pair running the last three furlongs in 36 3-ss. Moneyspinner should put up a good showing in his engagements at -Avondale. Phaleron (Wiggins) traversed v lour furlongs in 50 l-ss. the last three in 38 l-ss.- beating Pertinax (Markwick) and Pleuron (Wiggins). Phaleron was doing his work well over the final stages. They covered the first two In 25 3-ss, and Royal Message came home very sol'dly, although Hnppicoat was no tridden out. After cooling off, Royal Message was showing distinct signs of lameness. A fine effort over s\x furlongs was credited to Odtaa (Qilchrist), ■ who finished several lengths ahead of Hot Shot (Manson) in 1.19. The first three furlongs took 38 4-ss, and Odtaa impressed, though he had a good deal the better of the weights. Llandaff (Messervy) was also sent six furlongs, which he accomplished "in 1.19 3-5, the first three being covered in 39 l-ss. He was inclined to .loaf a bit toward the end. Rex Maitland (D.
