MOTORIST FINED.

INTOXICATION CHARGE. GISBORNTE, this day. Found by a traffic inspector with his car in a mudhole, into which it had skidded on approaching a bend at the foot of Te Uhi Hill, Henry Melville Brown, aged 55, a stevedore, was fined £15 and costs in the Wairoa Court for intoxication while in charge of a car. He was prohibited from driving for a year. Counsel for accused said his client had four or five shandies and had been forced into the mudhole by an approaching car.
