GIRLS' LIFE BRIGADE.
NEW COMPANY FORMED. Another new company has been added to the' 28 registered companies in the Girls' Life Brigade, that of the 29th Auckland Company attached to the Mount Eden Baptist Church. This 'brings the total membership of the movement in Auckland to approximately 1100, including cadets, brigade girls, and officers. All the companies are putting their best into the final practices prior to the annual battalion competitions, which will be held shortly, when the companies in both the let and 2nd Auckland battalions' will compete for the Earle and Blenkineop Cups respectively.* The first three winners from these will enter the finals for thu Divisional Cup. The are looking forward to their fiel<j| ; day, which will be held again at the' Auckland Domain. Aβ they start out on their third year of activity, they have a neW secretary in Sergeant (Miss) Shirley Wilson, of the 10th Auckland Company. . Warrant-Officer (Miss) J. Reeves, who was the first secretary of the N.C.O. Association, has bow become secretary of the Auckland > Division, owing to 1 the resignation of Miss K. Daweon, captain of the 22nd Auckland Company," : owing to increased company work. 'Another change came-in the posi-tion'-of,-, badge secretary, when Mies K. McNeil,' , captain of the 23rd Auckland Company, iad to relinquish her post, and Lieut! E. Watson, of Bth Auckland Company, who is the second eenior lieutenant in years of service, succeeded her.
