FOR SENTENCE.

LABOURER'S OFFENCES. A labourer, Thomas Henry Broome, aged 40, appeared before Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., in the Police Court to-day, charged that, on February 12, March 12 and April 12, he did unlawfully carnally know a girl over the age of 12 and under the age of 16. The girl involved in the case was a step-daughter of accused. Broome, who was represented by Mr. K. C. Aekins, pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme" Court for sentence on the three charges.
