MANY ADDITIONS.
WAIKATO HOSPITALS. £49,800 FOR NURSES , HOME. HAMILTON, this day. Plane and specifications for additions and alterations to the hospitals under the control of the. Waikato Hospital Board were approved at a meeting of the board to-day. The chairman, Mr. F. Findlay, etated that the lease in connection with the new Rotorua Hospital site had been completed. To-day the nurses occupied the new nurses' home at Rotorua. Tenders were also let for the construction of two T.B. shelters costing about £700. The other buildings at the hospital would be constructed as soon as possible. Plans for the ejection of a £7500 hospital at Taupo were approved, while plans for additions to the Waikato Hospital nurses' home, to accommodate 114 nurses and cost £49,500, were adopted. The plans for the new medical superintendent's residence at the hospital, costing £2700, were also adopted.
