CARPET-LAYER'S CLAIM.
Judgment has been given by Sir. Justice O Regan on a claim for compensation by George H. Parker, carpet-laver, Devonport, against the Public Works Department for injury to a knee incurred while laying linoleum at Narrow Xeck camp. The evidence was hoard in the Compensation Court on Friday. His I Honor said lie held the claim to be a I meritorious one, and in addition to the 1 amount paid at £3 13/4 a week for 1<» weeks he allowed further com]>eiisation of a like payment for 15 additional weeks, and costs.
