RED CROSS SOCIETY.
BRANCH AT ONEHDRGA. A decision to form a branch in Oneliunga of the New Zealand Red Cross Society was made at a well-attended mee.ting held in St. Mary's Hall. Mr. A. A. Harker, secretary of the society for the Auckland district, addressed the meeting and explained the functions and activities of the societv and the. organisation of voluntary aid detachments. The following officers were elected: — Patron, the Mayor, Mr. A. Garside; president, Mrs. Park; viee-preside-nts, Mesdames R. Donovan, T. Kearin. Geraghty: chairman, Miss Robb; secretary, Mrs. Grundy; treasurer, Miss K. Mitchell; executive committee: Mesdames Park. Grundy, Geraghty, Cuthbert and MisseRobb, Mitchell and J. Xeill; general committee: Mesdames R. Fenton, Wathew, Fitzpatrick, Henehan, Shepherd. Cross, Graham, Murdoch, Cuthbert, Davy, Stanton, Geraghty, Garside, Misses J. Xeill, K. McKenna, H. McKenna, J. Price and Sisters Wimsett and Green. * It was decided to commence a home nursing class on Monday next at 7 p.m. in St. Marv's Hall.
