WAIOURU CABPEWTERS.
In regard to the recent dispute at the Waiouru military camp, there has been appearing in the daily Press throughout Xew Zealand letters condemning the action of the men and also calling them Fifth Columnists, agitators, etc. We, with many others in the camp, take exception to these letters of condemnation, because we realise the writers are ignorant of the true facts, and all we ask is an opportunity to state our case in the newspapers, or by medium of the radio, if permission can be obtained from the Minister of Broadcasting, mud we are sure public opinion will be with us. We are also prepared to debate the question with Mr. L. Hunter, liaison officer to Hon. P. Webb. TWO WAIOURU CARPENTERS. Mr. J. G. Kennerley writes:—l have received the enclosed letter from the duly-elected chairman of the carpenters at Waiouru in reply to the one which appeared recently over the name of | Russell:—-I believe there have been printed in the daily Pre,-* letters condemning certain actions of the Auckland Carj>enter«i' Union. I have been a.-kcd to inform you that this has been done without the knowledge of the delegate*-, and they wish to condemn that action, as they believe it is not in the best int rests, of the organisation."' (Signed) R. E. Jones, Carpenters' Camp ChairIman, Waiouru.
