Last Word In Cruisers Just Constructed.
A SUPER-MODERN VESSEL. (Australian, and X.Z. Press Association.) LONDON, September 30. The "Daily Telegraph's" naval correspondent discloses the fact that Germany, in addition to having a "pocket" battleship, also possesses the last word in cruisers. She Las, he eays, the Konigsberg, of 0000 tons, built with a speed of 34 knots.. This cruiser carries nine 6-inch guns with a range of 11 J miles, 12 torpedotubes and a mine-laying plant. She cost £2,100,000, which is far more than Britain's 10,000-ton cruisers. Three sister ships of the Konigsberg are being built.
