SMITHY'S PLANS.
ATLANTIC FLIGHT NEXT YEAR. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) NEW YORK, September 29. Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith arrived at New York yesterday by the liner Niemv Amsterdam. He said lie proposes to make a flight from England to the United States in 1030. The Southern Cross at present is being reconditioned at the Fokker works in Holland. No definite date has been fixed but the airman expects to make the flight early next year. Ivingsford Smith will stay in NewYork about five days. He will then go to San Francisco to visit his brother. I
