AFTER-CHURCH RALLY.
Such was the attendance at an afterchurch rally held at the Church of Christ, Dominion Road, last evening, under the auspices of the Mount Eden Ministers' Fraternal, that an overflow meeting had to be held in the Grange Road Baptist Church. The service was conducted by the Rev. A. S. Wilson and the speaker "was the Rev. R. C. Roberts. The service in the Church of Christ was conducted by the Rev. H. A. G. Clark, the gathering being addressed by the Rev. W. Gilmour, president of the Fraternal. The Revs. W. Rowe and H. H. Jeffreys were also on the platform. Introducing Mr. C4ilmour, Mr. Clark extended the congratulations of the Church to the Presbyterian Church on the Union of Scotland. Mr. Gilmour, in reply, spoke of church union, mentioning the union of the Methodist, Congregational and Presbyterian Churches of Canada. Mr. Gilmour expressed the hope that the time was not far distant when all the Churches of Christ would be one. In Edinburgh, he said, his brother's congregation had voted for the , union without one dissentient. Speaking on the Epistle of Paul to the Galations, chapter iii., verse 1, Mr. Gil- , mour said that Paul was an advertiser. He advertised the Cross. The business of the Church was publicity, but not for itself. He urged the congregation, as Christian disciples, to advertise Christ in their own lives.
