Starshooter strode out over five furlongs, taking 1.8. Disorder and Straightcourse reeled off five furlongs in 1.7, a performance which was equalled by Sudden Storm and Full Feather. Chide and Meprisant were companions over seven furlongs, which they covered in 1.35. They finished together, with both going well at the end of a useful pieco of work. Haulage defeated Page Boy over half a mile in 53 2-ss. Hazo galloped seven furlongs.
