NORTH SHORE DESTRUCTOR.
The nuisance caused by the destructor at Takapuna is discussed at the meetings of the Takapuna Borough Council, but nothing is done. The destructor is an absolute failure, for it merely converts solid refuse into smoke charged with an offensive smell; it cannot, therefore, by any stretch of imagination, be a destructor. I wonder how long the authorities will allow this nuisance to continue? Were it from a private factory notice would be sent to abate the nuisance fortwith. WM. LAWRENCE.
