WARMING GELIGNITE.
FIVE MEN IN TENT. THREE SERIOUSLY INJURED. ONE LOSES AX AKM. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAIIIOA (H. 8.), this clay. Five Public Works men employed on the Lake Waikarcnioana road wprks were warming gelignite in a tent on Saturday wiien. a premature explosion occurred. All the men were injured, and three were taken to hospital. They arc: Richard Dalhousie, extensive burns and one hand shattered. The arm had to be amputated, and his condition is serious. George Leckie, left leg injured. Joseph Goldsmith, abrasions on body and face. The other two were slightly hurt.
