EAST TAMAKI REUNION.
GATHERING OF FARMERS. Over three hundred farmers attended a reunion held last evening in the East Tamaki Hall, Mr. F. M. Waters, chairman of the Manukau County Council, presided. Among those present were representatives of Tβ Awamutu, Te Aroha, Hinuera and Taupiri Companies. The hall was decorated with streamers and it was found necessary to provide accommodation on the platform for. a number of the guests. The toast list included the "Government Graders,' proposed by Mr. T. D. Ormiston, chairman of directors of the East Tamaki Co-op. Dairy Co.; "Kindred Companies," proposed by Mr. W. C. Watts, managing secretary; "Local Agents for London Firms," Ml'. R. Dawson; "Agricultural and Pastoral Association," Mr. J. Myers; "Manukau County Council." Mr. J. Ross; and "Manager and Staff," Mr. A. J. Davies. Those who spoke in response to the various toasts were Messrs. F. H. Leonard, T. D. Collins. W. B. Lewisham, A J. Sinclair, J. T. F. Mitchell (president of the Auckland A. and P. Association), W. F. O'Donnell (secretary of the association), J- R- Page, A. Band, D. Knight, and the chairman. A programme of entertainment was given by the Lyric Quartet, and solo items were contributed by Messrs J. Bligh, C. Mel or, H. Fort, and A. J. Sinclair. Mr. Alan McElwain contributed Humorous selections, and Mr. E. Andrew, elocutionary items. Mr. Harry Worsley ,acted as accompanist.
