WAR PENSIONS.
» APPEAL BOARD SITTING. CASES FOR HEARING. The War Pensions Appeal Board will commence it* quarterly sitting in Auckland on Monday next, in the Pukemiro Chamber?, Anzac Avenue. The president of the board is Sir Walter Stringer. Associated -with him will be Dr. YV. N. Abbott and Dr. W. C. ilcCaw. The board will bo required to consider the average number of cases of ex-servieemen, although tlic Returned Soldi ers' Association so far h:is only about a dozen cases to support. It is expected that this, number will be greatly increased, however, as usually applicants retrain from coini numicnting with the association till they have been notified by the board as to the day they are required to appear before it. The'association urges men in need of the services of its advocate to get in touch with the secretary at the earliest possible moment. The previous sitting of the board in Auckland terminated in July. On that occasion the association assisted sixtyfive cases.
