Mr. A, E. Vincent and Mr. R. King are at the Star Hotel. Mr. Justice Smith left for the South last evening by the express. Mr. J. E. Madden (Wellington) and Mr. F. B. Spencer (Sydney) are at the Grand Hotel. Dr. and Mrs. Yorke Pittar, of Sydney, have returned from Tauranga and are at the Grand Hotel. The Hon. J. B. Donald, PostmasterGeneral, arrived this morning from Wellington by the express. Mr. S. Longeuldt (Christchurch), Mr. E. Bayless, Mr. T. Fahey, Mr. C. Smith (Wellington) are at Hotel Cargen. Guests at the Albert Hotel are: Mr. S. Pitt (Dunedin), Mr. and Mrs. E. Croft (Wellington), Mr. S. Kennard (Christchurch) . Sir George Elliot, chairman of directors of the Bank of New Zealand, arrived in Auckland by the express this morning. Messrs. G. C. Munns, W. J. Jordan, H. R. Jenkins and W. Parry, M.P.'s, were passengers from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. Glover Clark, divisional organiser of the United party, returned to Auckland to-day, after making a tour of the Bay of Islands electorate. Arrivals at the Central Hotel are: Mr. H. Stubbs (Wellington), Mr. K. L. Smith (Palmerston North) and Mr. and Mrs. G. Somerville (Howick). The Hon. P: A. de la Perelle, Minister of Internal Affairs, arrived at Taumaruniii by the Limited this morning. He will arrive at Auckland by the ordinary express to-morrow. , Major-General R. Young, G.O.C.N.Z. Forces, was a passenger by the Limited last evening. He was accompanied by Lieut.-Colonel J. E. Duigan, Chief Staff Northern Command.
