. ST. JOHN'S FLOWER SHOW. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ; WAIHI, Friday. A daffodil and spring flower, show, held under the auspices of St. John's Anglican Church, was officially opened yesterday bv the Mayor. Mr. W. M. Wallnutt, Vho referred to the splendid display of blooms arranged under the direction of Mrs. J. GWhite, and -the general decorative scheme designed by Mrs. C. Copeetake. Competitions for home industries resulted:— Fresh butter, F. Hopkin (Katiksuti), 1; J, C. Copestake, 2. Salt butter: F. Hopkin 1; Mrs. Cornthwaite, 2. Sponge sandwich: Mrs. Torrens, 1; Mrs. Lightboiirn, 2. Scones: Mrs. Torrens, 1; Mrs. A«uby, 2*. Madeira cake: Mrs. Torrens, 1; Mrs. Hill' 2. Hen eggs: Kollett. Duck eggs: ]?'. Hopkin.
