' The chief feature has been the contmuec : weakness of the bank section. Five transactions completed were all made at lowei prices, and this morning's call found quotations further reduced. A sale of Milne and Choyee debenture stock at £1 7/3 showed a new high level for this scrip. ._ At this morning's call a buyer for New Zealand Insurance Co. came forward otterintr £2 7/3. a drop of threepence. Leyland-O'Brien Timber were inquired for, the buyer naming £1/10/9 for the £1 shares. . Offers for New Zealand Breweries shares were reduced to £4 9/. A sale of Pukemiro at £3 13/ is the first since the final dividend of 5/ a share was paid.' Interest Rates.
