(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) , MERCER, this day. The vanguard of the racing cyclists passed through Mercer shortl yafter 1.30 p.m., J. Jacob, J. McDonald and K. Rae being prominent. Pcnfoid, Taylor, Clark, Slack, Healey, and Francis followed shortly after, the latter peddling particularly well. Other riders cycled through in small groups. Lindop, Harcourt, and Hayes, on the 8m mark, arrived at 1.46, and Bellringer at 1.56. Twenty-two and a half minutes separated the iirst and last men.
