PRINCE AS AVIATOR.
Personal Pilot To Fly Machine. DUAL CONTROL 'PLANE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 26. Mr. Fielden has been appointed personal pilot to the Prince of Wales. He was selected out of 80 members of the reserve of the Royal Air Force who were considered for the post. It is understood that the Prince does not propose to take out a pilot's certificate and the new Moth machine which he has purchased will be flown by Mr. Fielden. As the 'plane is fitted with dual controls, however, the Prince will sometimes fly it. When the Prince uses a service machine Squadron-Leader Don will, as hitherto, pilot it. For the past six months Mr. Fielden has been employed as personal pilot to Captain Guest, chairman of the National Flying Services Company. Tliey only recently returned from an air trip to .Africa. Last March Mr. Fielden was awarded the Air Force Cross for distinguished peace-time flying.
