AUSTRALIAN PRODUCE. SYDNEY, September 26. The following are to-Aay'e quotations on the Sydney produce market:— Wheat.—At country stations, 5/; ex trucks, Sydney, 5/7. Flour.—£l3 10/. Pollard and Bran. —£8. Potatoes. —Taemanian, £20 to £24; Victorian, £20 10/. Onions. —£22 to £24. Oats.—White, 4/; Algerian, 4/8. Maize. —5/9. Adelaide prices are:— Wheat. —4/11. Flour.—£l2 2/6. Bran.—£6 15/. Pollard.—£7. Oate.—Algerian, 3/4. LONDON TALLOW SALES. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London hotise, dated September 25:—At the tallow sales 1325 casks were offered and 43 per cent were sold. Prices are unchanged. . . * CHICAGO WHEAT VALUES. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 10 a.m.) CHICAGO, September 26. Wheat for delivery in September is quoted at Chicago at $1.30% per bushel. For December delivery the rate is $1.37, for March $1.43%, and for May $1.47. LONDON RABBITSKIN SALES. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, September 26. At the rabbitskin sales 3120 were offered, with fair competition from the Home trade. About half was sold at generally 10 per cent decline, except racks, which were firm and unchanged^ DAIRY PRODUCE. BUTTER MARKET FIRM. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, September 26. The butter market is firm, with a steady trade. Danish, 206/. Choicest salted: New Zealand, 182/ to 184/; Australian, 176/ to 178/. Unsalted: New Zealand, 180/; Australian, 176/ to 178/. Cheese is firm. New Zealand, white and coloured, 93/ to 94/.
Messrs. Andrew Clements and Sons, Ltd. have received the following advice froni their London office, dated September 26.—Markets firm. Cheese, 94/. Butter, 180/ to 184/." Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co. have received the following cable from their London principals, Messrs. Nathan and Trengrouse, Tooley Street, dated September 26, as follows:— Butter.—New Zealand, 182/ per cwt. • Cheese.—New Zealand, white and coloured, 94/ per cwt. Both markets quiet and firm. Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., have_ received the following cable from their London manager, under date September 26. Butter—Our prices unchanged. (184/ per cwt). Danish, 198./. Market quiet, but firm. ■ ... Cheese. —-White and coloured, 94/ per cwt. Market firm.
MELBOURNE HIDES SALE.
MELBOURNE, September 26. At the Melbourne hides sale to-day the market was irregular. Values were generally %d to Vi-d lower, excepting stouts. LONDON WOOL SALES. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) LONDON", September 26. At the wool sales 10,192 bales were offered, of which 4128 were New Zealand. There was a large representative selection of Merinos, a good offering of greasy crossbreds, and many -New Zealand greasy Merinos. The lastnamed were mostly withdrawn. There was steady general competition for all other sorts, with prices maintained. Bradford tone is steadier, but business very limited. 64's, 32d; 60's, SOYzi; 56's, 26% d; 50's, 24d; 46's, 21Ad; 40's, 21d.
