WHALE OIL MARKET.
Lloyds Bank's correspondent at Oslo reports that there is some foundation for rumours of rising prices for whale oil which recently caused a sharp advance in whaling shares. Preparations were then in full swing for the departure of the whaling fleet at the end of August.
