LAWN TENNIS.
HAMILTON CLUB, HAMILTON, Thursday. At the annual meeting of the Hamilton. Lawii Tennis Club, the committee reported that the membership at the beginning of last season stood at 161, and the standard of play had been well maintained. The election of officers resulted:—President, Mr. R. D. McFarland; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. B. McCraeken and W. .T. King j secretary, Mr. C. Stevenson; ladies' committee, Mrs, McCraclcen, Misses Eggleston and Newell; men's committee, Messrs. Fabling, Brougli, McCaw, Griffiths and Kidd. It was decided that the season be opened on October 12, although a few courts will be available on October 5.
